Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over each chicken breast and coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish, ensuring space between them.

Cooking

  • Bake the chicken in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and ladle marinara sauce over each piece.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top of each chicken breast.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs well with pasta, salad, or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
