Sauce Ingredients

  • 4 strips bacon Thick-cut for best flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic adds a great zing.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Opt for high-quality cream for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes Fresh or canned works well.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Adjust to preference.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy and golden. Remove from skillet and crumble.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic in the bacon grease for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Toss in the diced tomatoes and cook for about 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well coated in the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Plate the pasta and top with crumbled bacon and fresh basil if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, can be paired with a side salad or garlic bread. To store leftovers, cool completely, then refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
