  • 8 oz cream cheese For a decadent feel, use full-fat cream cheese or a lighter version for fewer calories.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix Feel free to make your own ranch seasoning.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup This serves as the gravy base.
  • to taste salt Don’t skip on seasoning!
  • to taste pepper
  • optional chopped parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and cream of chicken soup until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • When done, shred the chicken in the slow cooker with forks and stir to coat in the gravy.

Serving

  • Serve over rice, pasta, or toasted bread, and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté garlic and onion in the slow cooker before adding chicken. Consider adding vegetables like carrots and potatoes for a one-pot meal. Adjust the recipe for dietary preferences as needed.
